On February 20, 2024, laughter filled the faces of the future of Saudi as they participated in activities to remember the past. Royat Al-Ebtikar International School students celebrated Saudi Founding Day. Students loved all the activities, including traditional games, dress-up activities, interactive cooking demonstrations, clay painting, sandpit mud house play, and cultural re-enactments.
Students participated in many events to learn about the founding of Saudi.
These activities were designed to help foster a deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia's wish history and cultural heritage. We also highlighted that Saudi continues to grow.
Students wore traditional clothing for photographs.
Using clay pots, students painted traditional designs.
Cooking Saudi cultural dishes was a great way for students to participate and learn a useful skill.
We had presentations, "Vision 2030", to look forward and celebrate Saudi's bright future. Some day, our primary school students will help to shape the culture of Saudi and we help them remember the importance of the traditions of the past.
Students could act out several activities in the photo area, designed to mimic the inside of a Saudi tent.
The area was set up to allow multiple different photos.
Students enjoyed wearing the traditional Saudi clothes and taking photos individually and with their friends.
The day was filled with learning, creativity and national pride for our young learners as we celebrated the enthronement of Muhammad bin Saud as the emir of Diriyah in 1727.
