Our Fabulous First Day at REIS Primary! ๐
Hello, everyone! ๐โ๏ธ๐โ๏ธ
What an amazing morning we had on Sunday, the 31st of August, 2025! It was the first day of the 2025-2026 school year at Royat Al-Ebtikar International School. The sun was shining, and the school was buzzing with excitement! ๐ We were so excited to welcome all our students back, and we loved meeting our new friends, too!
Let us tell you all about our brilliant Welcome Programme. It was a morning full of smiles, fun, and happy noises! ๐ถ
A Grand Welcome in the Gym! ๐
The day started in the school gym. It looked absolutely fantastic! ๐จ It was decorated with colourful balloons, big banners, and happy welcoming signs. It felt like a party!
As students arrived, they walked into this cheerful scene. But the best part was the people! ๐ All of our wonderful teachers and staff members lined up to say hello. They greeted every single student with massive smiles, high-fives, and cheerful shouts of "Welcome Back!" and "Welcome to REIS!".
Upbeat, child-friendly music played in the background. It created a lively and festive atmosphere. ๐ต This first hello was so important. It made every student feel seen, valued, and super excited from the very first moment they stepped inside!
Finding Our Groups! ๐ซ
Inside the gym, there were clear signs for each year level. There was a special spot for Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, and all the others! It was very easy to find the right place.
The teachers gently guided everyone to their correct year-level group. The responsible teacher for each year level then introduced themselves to their class. It was lovely to finally meet them!
Once everyone was gathered together, something magical happened. ๐ช Each teacher led their class out of the gym in an organised and cheerful line. They walked everyone to their brand-new classroom! This made the move from the big gym to the classroom very smooth and easy. It also helped everyone quickly find their homeroom teacher.
Fun in the Classroom! ๐๏ธ
When we got to our classrooms, the fun continued! Each classroom hosted engaging "getting to know you" activities. We played brilliant icebreaker games. These games were designed to help us get to know our new classmates and our teacher. We laughed a lot! ๐
There was also a time for summer vacation sharing. This was when we could all share our favourite stories from our summer holidays. ๐๏ธ It was so cool to hear about all the different adventures everyone had!
An Exciting School Tour with Ms. Nermeen! ๐ถโ๏ธ๐ถ
Next up was a super fun part of the morning! The lovely Ms. Nermeen led small groups of students on an exciting school tour. We explored all the important areas of our school.

๐ The Library:
We saw all the amazing books! Ms. Nermeen showed us some new books and cosy reading nooks. We cannot wait to start reading!
๐จ The Art Room & Music Room:
We saw the rooms where we will get to be creative! We will paint, draw, and make music in these fantastic spaces.
โฝ The Playground & Sports Facilities:
We saw the places where we can run, play, and have fun with our friends at break time!
๐ข The Administration Area:
We learned where the school office is, just in case we ever need help.๏ปฟ
๐ฉน The Nurse's Office:
We found out where to go if we ever feel poorly or get a small bump during the day.
โจ New Facilities:
We got to see any new facilities or renovations the school had. Everything looked so shiny and new!
Ms. Nermeen made the tour so interesting. She shared fun facts about each area and answered all our questions. It was a great way to learn about our school and feel less worried about finding our way around.
Wrapping Up and Meeting New Teachers! ๐
After the tour, we all returned to our homerooms for the final part of the welcome programme. Our homeroom teacher did a quick recap of all the fun things we had done that morning. They also asked if we had any more questions about the school year.
Then came a very special moment! ๐ We were introduced to the new teachers joining REIS for the 2025-2026 school year. We gave them a huge, friendly welcome! The session finished with a positive message about the year ahead. Our teachers talked about all the learning, friendship, and growth we will experience at REIS. We left feeling very excited! โจ
Time for Breakfast! ๐ฝ๏ธ
All that exploring made us very hungry! Luckily, it was time for breakfast. We all went to the dining hall. We enjoyed our food in a relaxed setting while chatting with our new and old friends. ๐ฅฃ๐ง
The teachers supervised and encouraged everyone to have positive interactions. Having breakfast together gave us all the energy we needed after a busy morning. It was also a lovely, calm time to socialise before starting our proper lessons.
Starting Our Regular Classes! ๐
After breakfast, it was time to get down to business! We started our normal classes for the rest of the day. The teachers followed their regular timetable. We began learning about our curriculum and establishing our classroom routines.
This helped us smoothly transition into our academic routine. It was time to begin the awesome learning process for the new school year!
Time to Go Home! ๐ก
At the end of the day, students were dismissed according to the school's standard dismissal procedures. Everyone had a safe and organised departure.
What a perfect first day it was! We are so happy to be back at school and we cannot wait for all the adventures this new year will bring! Welcome to REIS Primary, everyone! ๐
